In the Professional Practice Unit I decided on Creative Conscience Mental Health brief, as I am very passionate about this topic. I partnered up with Sophia Sofianou, Victoria Palaszynska and Lucy Wei to create a 2D animation about the daily effects of our mental health. I created an inspiration moodboard, where I focused on colour and shapes, as well as looking at how to represent mental health visually. I researched some short films, such as ‘Pinched’ by David Vandervoort as well as Alexandra Levasseur’s ‘Playing with Fire’ and Victoria Vincent’s ‘Floatland‘. I want to use vibrant pinks, blues and purples for this animation and specifically in the characgter design. We all split to create a concept for the main character of our story and in mine I focused on big expressive eyes, as well as angular shapes.
